Dear Trinity Valley Elementary Families,
I am pleased to welcome you back to the 2020-21 school year! I would like to extend a special welcome to all of the new families joining Trinity Valley this year and welcome back all of our returning families as well! I am honored to be your principal. Our goal at Trinity Valley is to work together to provide our students with a rich learning environment. My vision, as the principal, is to ALWAYS put kids first! My belief is that all students can learn. As educators, we need to discover how each child learns in order to differentiate our instruction to support diverse learning styles. In a collaborative effort, we want children to thrive in all ways possible. My hope is that all children will LOVE school and nurture a learning environment that is positive, safe, warm, caring, as well as a fun place to learn and grow.
Student success is attributed to the partnership and the relationships we build within our community and this is MOST important now more than ever. It truly does take a village and at TVES we value teamwork and collaboration! Education is a joint venture and our Charger Team greatly appreciates the support you provide for your children at home and at school to help them meet their learning goals.
Although this year looks different than any other year, we are dedicated to providing your child(ren) a memorable, interactive, engaging distance learning experience. We spent the summer gathering input from parents, employees, community stakeholders, administrators, state leaders, the California Department of Education, and medical professionals via surveys, committees, and department leaders. Administrators and department leaders have been planning for increased safety procedures.
As I’m sure you have heard, we are beginning the school year in a distance learning model. Our top priority is the safety of our students and staff. At this time, this is the recommendation from our local health officials. To kick off the school year, you will be receiving a phone call from your child(s) teacher(s) on either August 20th or August 21st.
They will be introducing themselves, as well as gathering information from you to create a plan that will best meet your family’s needs. Please plan to pick up a packet from school on Monday, August 24th between 10am-1pm. At this time, you will receive a distance learning handbook that will provide an outline of requirements and include contact information for employees.
Thank you all for your continued support as we navigate this difficult time. I know that each family situation is unique and different. Our priority is to keep everyone safe, while not making life more difficult on our parents. We will be using our website and Facebook page to disseminate information. Please feel free to email me with any questions as well. I miss all of you immensely!
